At WPC, our commitment to Building Beyond the Blueprint® is more than just constructing buildings — it’s about creating lasting, positive impacts within our community. For over 50 years, WPC has donated more than $3 million to causes that inspire us, integrating community support as a fundamental part of our culture. This commitment reflects our values of compassion, collaboration, and a deep responsibility to uplift the communities where we live and work.
In 2024, with a nod to our 50th Anniversary, we continued this tradition by supporting a range of initiatives aligned with our mission to improve lives, especially those of children, veterans, and individuals facing challenges. Below, we highlight some of the inspiring causes that drive us to make a difference.
WPC's People-First Culture: An Honor and Responsibility
At WPC, giving back is more than an obligation; it’s a privilege. As a company rooted in a people-first culture, we believe in supporting our community not only through financial contributions but also by dedicating the time, energy, and talents of our employees. Whether it’s volunteering, organizing events, or offering hands-on support, our team is united in making a positive impact. This holistic approach to community engagement is central to who we are and fuels our commitment to finding new ways to give back.
Honoring and Supporting Our Veterans
At WPC, we take immense pride in honoring the sacrifices and service of our nation’s veterans. With many veterans from all branches of the military proudly represented among our staff, we are deeply committed to supporting those who have served our country and their families. Veterans bring invaluable skills, leadership, and resilience to our team, and we are honored to work alongside them every day.
Honor Flight Central Florida: WPC is long-time, proud supporter of Honor Flight Central Florida, an organization dedicated to giving veterans the experience of a lifetime. This year, we were privileged to participate in this transformative journey once again, accompanying local veterans on a trip to Washington, D.C., to visit our nation’s most iconic monuments.
For many veterans, it was their first opportunity to see these memorials, creating deeply emotional and reflective moments of gratitude and connection. As Guardians, we were honored to walk alongside these heroes, hearing their stories and witnessing their profound reactions to sites such as the World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial.
Empowering Children and Families
At WPC, we are a family. For over 50 years, our people-first culture has fostered a truly unique and special environment where we stand by our team through the good times and the challenging ones, growing stronger together. At the heart of this culture is our deep commitment to helping other families and, especially, children — the very essence of what makes a family whole. Here are some of the missions we supported this year:
Winking Warrior Foundation: Golf Tournament: Dedicated to funding critical Rhabdomyosarcoma research, supporting families in their pursuit of the best care, spreading awareness about childhood cancer. This year’s golf tournament supported the organization's mission to bring hope and healing to families affected by childhood cancer.
Kicking Kids’ Cancer: For the fifth year, we partnered with Kicking Kids’ Cancer to support clinical research and raise awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Together with XL Soccer World Lake Nona, we proudly contributed to their mission of improving outcomes for children battling this devastating disease.
Children’s Home Society: (CHS): Through a charity golf event, we supported CHS’s vital work to deliver services that keep children safe and empower families to thrive. CHS focuses on ensuring that children grow up in healthy, nurturing homes while helping parents build confidence and skills to overcome challenges. Their belief in the strength of families and the potential of every child mirrors our own values.
The Faine House: WPC is a proud partner of The Faine House, an organization dedicated to empowering young adults transitioning out of foster care. At The Faine House, these individuals receive mentorship, education, and emotional support, helping them navigate the challenges of adulthood with confidence and purpose.
Touched by Type 1: For many years, WPC has proudly supported Touched by Type 1, an organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and funding research to fight Type 1 Diabetes. This mission holds a special place in our hearts as we stand alongside the individuals and families impacted by this condition, celebrating their resilience and determination. At the heart of this organization’s efforts is the annual Dancing for Diabetes event, a community favorite that brings people together in a powerful display of hope, strength, and solidarity. WPC is honored to play a role in this inspiring celebration, which not only raises critical funds but also shines a light on the unwavering spirit of those living with Type 1 Diabetes.
These partnerships are a testament to the transformative power of community and the incredible impact of organizations dedicated to making a difference. At WPC, we are continually inspired by the tireless work of these charities, whose missions are deeply aligned with our own commitment to uplifting children and families. From Kicking Kids’ Cancer’s dedication to advancing life-saving research and raising awareness, to the Children’s Home Society’s unwavering support for at-risk families, these organizations embody the values we hold dear.
Celebrating Abilities and Embracing Inclusion
At WPC, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, and creating inclusive spaces is a cornerstone of who we are. Supporting individuals of all abilities and fostering a sense of belonging are not just values we hold — they are actions we are proud to take. This year, we joined forces with incredible organizations that embody the transformative power of inclusion, working tirelessly to uplift those in our community and ensure everyone has a chance to reach their full potential.
OCA’s Monster Dash: We were thrilled to sponsor and participate in OCA’s Monster Dash, a vibrant event that featured a 5K, Kids’ Fun Run, and Family Stroll. Opportunity, Community, Ability (OCA) empowers children and adults with autism and other special needs, helping them achieve their goals and unlock their potential. The event brought families together in a joyous celebration of abilities, serving as a powerful reminder of the strength and unity that inclusion brings to our community.
Central Florida Dreamplex: We were honored to sponsor Central Florida Dreamplex’s golf fundraiser, which supports their mission of providing recreation, fitness, and social opportunities for individuals of all abilities. Dreamplex’s dedication to creating environments where everyone feels valued and included reflects the same ideals we strive to uphold, making this partnership deeply meaningful to WPC.
National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS):Our support of the National Down Syndrome Society’s inaugural Tremonti Family Charity Golf Outing was an unforgettable experience. The event raised critical funds to advocate for individuals with Down syndrome, influence policy changes, and expand opportunities for community engagement. It was a day filled with purpose and unity, celebrating the incredible impact of NDSS and reinforcing the importance of their mission.
These partnerships inspire us every day, and we are humbled by the dedication of these organizations to improving lives and breaking down barriers. At WPC, we honor their commitment to creating a more inclusive world, and we remain steadfast in our efforts to support these causes, celebrate diversity, and help build communities where everyone can thrive. Together, we are stronger, and together, we are making a difference.
Supporting Health and Wellness in Our Communities
We believe that the foundation of a strong and thriving organization is built on healthy and happy employees—and their families.
SimplyIOA Corporate 5K: Our WPC Run Walk Club proudly participated in this event, which supported youth programs and food security efforts in Central Florida. This fun and meaningful activity encouraged team members to stay active while giving back to the community.
Heart of Winter Haven Golf Tournament - WPC participated in this exciting tournament to support health and wellness in the local community.
Blood Drives with OneBlood: Our ongoing partnership with OneBlood provides employees the opportunity to participate in life-saving blood donations. These drives are a vital way to ensure that hospitals and patients have access to a crucial resource. Blood donation is a simple yet profound act of kindness that reflects WPC's belief in supporting community health at every level. By donating blood, our employees contribute to saving lives and helping those in critical need.
The Victim Service Center of Central Florida: WPC proudly supported The Victim Service Center at the Orlando Science Center for a memorable event themed "An Adventure 25 Years in the Making." It was a night of reflection, empowerment, and community spirit as we celebrated 25 years of the VSC’s vital work. The VSC provides essential services and resources to victims of sexual assault, violent crime, and traumatic circumstances, completely free of charge.
Looking Forward: Building Stronger Communities Together
At WPC, giving back is woven into our DNA, and it’s the driving force behind our Building Beyond the Blueprint® ethos. From empowering children to honoring veterans, we are inspired by the opportunity to make a difference. As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting causes that align with our values while embracing new opportunities to serve our community. Together, we’re building a brighter, stronger, and more compassionate Central Florida.
